Let's Kill ... a bloody little card game from Atlas Games
Have you ever had the urge to start beating some know-it-all who really deserved it, but were held back by those frustrating social boundaries? Ever wanted to go psycho on a bunch bleached-blonde cheerleaders, or the pretentious beatnick at the corner coffee shop? Ever wanted to achieve fame through your horrifying actions?
Let's Kill may help relieve that urge. In it, you portay a psychotic killer determined to kill as many people as possible, using everything from your grandpa's shot gun to spearguns and industrial paper shredders, while gaining as much media coverage as possible.
Let's Kill is a bloody little card game originally published by Sancho Games, featuring distinctive stick figure art and gruesome humor. Atlas Games is pleased to announce that we've just finished negotiations to publish
Let's Kill 2nd edition, and anticipate its realease by the end of 2005. Atlas plans to retain the look and feel of the original game, while polishing the mechanics and increasing production values.
Let's Kill 2nd Edition will include two 55-card poker-size decks and a rules sheet in a tuckbox.
For more information about the first edition of the game, visit
the Sancho Games website.
An Intro to Northern Crown
I just finished up the last touches on the layout of
Northern Crown: New World Adventures and gave it to John for the final proofread. Yay! To celebrate, I also put up the
first chapter of the book on our web site ... it's an introduction to the people, places, and events that make Northern Crown such a unique campaign setting.
I'm also done with my edit of the Gazetteer, so it's ready for layout now ... things are looking good for an August release at GenCon!
Northern Crown Covers & Promo
You'll notice that the final covers for
Northern Crown: New World Adventures and
Northern Crown: Gazetteer are now up on our front page in the left column. We think Aaron Campbell did a great job on these, and can't wait to see them in print!
Also, I just finished putting together the promo for Northern Crown that will appear in the July issue of Game Trade Magazine. "Villains of Vandalia" gives details on the renegade state of Vandalia. Vandalia is the domain of a cadre of rebel captains and ministers originally from the Republic of Sophia, led by Lord Asaph Burr -- Jeferson's former secretary of the exchequer. Spurning the freethinking philosophy of Jeferson and Franklyn, Burr has established an autocracy with the aim of claiming an inland empire at the expense of his First Ones neighbors.
In addition to outlining the insidious goals of this rogue state, the promo gives stats for three new types of Vandalian agents -- the sabeteur, interrogator, and master spy -- all of whom use psionic knacks to further their aims. It also gives stats for five new inventions -- the automaton immolator, hades powder, the mnemosynetic shadow box, the morphitic bullet, and quiet powder. You won't find this info in the
Northern Crown campaign books, so be sure to check it out in July!
