Special Ops Drawing

Atlas Games is pleased to announce that Tim Mullins Blaine, Jr. of Louisville, KY is the winner of this quarter's Special Ops prize drawing. Tim will get to choose a prize from among the rare and and one-of-a-kind Atlas Games items reserved for the Special Ops drawing.

Special Ops is Atlas Games' corps of loyal fans who organize and run demos and tournaments at retail stores and conventions across the country and around the world. At the end of each quarter, Special Ops demo team members who have run a game in the last three months are entered into a prize drawing for special Atlas items. The next drawing will be December 30th, and will feature a choice of prizes such as press sheets and original art from our popular Ars Magica, Feng Shui, Penumbra D20, and Unknown Armies RPGs, and from card game favorites like Dungeoneer, Lunch Money, and Once Upon a Time.

Atlas is also happy to announce that the following Special Ops members have gone up in rank this quarter:

Todd Furler (Avatar, 200 HP)
Matt Muth (Avatar, 200 HP)
Tim Mullins Blaine, Jr. (Companion, 100 HP)

True Lineages Sold Out

It's official... Houses of Hermes: True Lineages is the first Ars Magica 5th Edition supplement to sell through its first printing. There are still copies out there in the channels (including the ones that have been ordered by distributors this week and not yet shipped), but we have no more copies to restock our customers as they sell through their inventory.

In retrospect, we should have printed more, since the book was released just five months ago. Fortunately, we expect that this book has a shelf life of many years, so it will be worth reprinting sometime in 2006.

Congratulations to everyone who worked on the book; it has clearly won the approval of Ars Magica fans.

Dungeoneer Updates

Two Dungeoneer games went to press on Monday ... the new Realm of the Ice Witch arctic set, and the reprint of Vault of the Fiends. Now that I've had time to catch my breath, I've made some updates to the web site:

Gloom in Motion

Over the weekend, the container ship Amazonite arrived in New York, bringing with it the first load of Gloom's reprint and Unhappy Homes, the expansion set. After the shipment makes its way through the red tape on the east coast, it will be trucked in Minneapolis for customs clearance and eventual delivery to our loading dock. There's no way it will get here this week, but next week is a strong possibility.

Out of the Office

John and I will be out of the Atlas Games office on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, while we attend the Bang Printing open house in beautiful Brainerd, MN. We'll be back on Thursday.
