Mystery Cults Art Revealed

I've just posted the cover art for the upcoming Ars Magica release, Mystery Cults. The art was done by Grey Thornberry, whose work you've seen on several other recent Ars Magica sourcebooks. Check it out on the Mystery Cults product page!

Seismic: New from Atlas Games!

Atlas Games is pleased to announce the addition of the new game Seismic to our schedule. Seismic is a tile-laying game in which you rush to complete the most highway segments before earthquakes ruin your handiwork. Seismic is already at press, and should be released in July. See the Seismic product page for more info, including the full rules in English, French, German, and Spanish and a game play image.

New Atlas Catalog & ArM5 Downloads

We just sent out new catalog to the printer this week ... 24 pages of glorious full color giving all the most important info about our various game lines. You can preview it as a PDF at the bottom of our Retailer Page. Retailers are also welcome to email us at info@atlas-games.com about getting copies of the catalog for their stores. The catalog should be back from the printer in about three to four weeks, just in time for GAMA Trade Show!

Also new on the website are the PDFs of the Covenant Record Sheet and Oath of Covenant from the new Covenants sourcebook. Check them out now!

New Ars Magica Abilities Worksheet

Now up on the Ars Magica line page is the new Abilities Worksheet. This handy character creation helper lets you track experience point allocations for each stage of your character's life.

Our thanks to Andy Reimer for creating this worksheet.

Updated Distributor List

This afternoon I took care of a little housekeeping: I updated our distributor list. Since the purpose of this list is to help retailers find our products through a convenient wholesale source, I periodically need to remove folks who, for example, have not placed an order in more than a year; and conversely, I need to add the contact information of those who have started carrying our products. If you're a retailer looking for a supplier of Atlas Games, please download the list and give one of our fine wholesalers a call.

(Note: With some browsers, such as Firefox, you may need to clear your cache if you've downloaded the list before; otherwise your computer may just show you the file you downloaded in the past, without the updates.)

Bunnies ... They're So Cute, No?

Once again, February brings us Adopt-a-Rescued-Rabbit Month, and this little plug about how great bunnies are. In case you're not alrady aware of it, John and I are happy slaves to three of these critters -- Chimaera (aka Chimi), Wendigo (Windy), and El Chupacabra (Poncho for short). Poncho is our newest addition ...

This summer an inhumane breeding operation was shut down in the Twin Cities, and over 70 mistreated rabbits were confiscated. The independent rescue group that John and I volunteer with -- Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society -- nearly doubled its normal foster space to make sure that none of them had to be euthanized for lack of space in the shelters. John and I actually opened our home to four of these unfortunate bunnies, and it was quite an experience! Most of them were suffering from sinus infections from the unsanitary conditions they were kept in, and two of them had to be shaved because their long angora-like fur was so matted. Below is a picture of Pooka, who despite the indignity of her haircut was the first of the confiscation bunnies to find a forever home! Two more found a home within a few months, but we just couldn't say goodbye to Poncho, so he stayed with us.

And yes, we were the ones who got to name the foster bunnies ... the other two were Scylla and Charybdis (Char, like charcoal), if you must know. ;)

If you're interested in making a big difference in a bunny's life, Petfinder is a great place to find a rabbit who needs a home in your area. If you already have a bunny at home, consider that adopting a second rabbit might make his or her life all the more full.
