Mystery Cults in PDF
It hasn't been long, but
Houses of Hermes: Mystery Cults is nearly sold out (less than one carton of books left in the warehouse), so I thought I'd put it up for sale as a PDF. You can buy it now
on RPGNow.com.
Mythic Europe in PDF
The latest in out-of-print
Ars Magica titles available on RPGNow is
Mythic Europe, and it's on sale now!
Franklyn's Almanack #2
Franklyn's Almanack Issue 2 is now available for download through RPGNow! The Almanack is a supplemental quarterly featuring articles and adventures for the
Northern Crown D20 campaign setting, published by our official licensee
Adamant Entertainment. This issue features:

Epic Dungeoneer Has Arrived!
Just to make our week complete,
Epic Dungeoneer arrived at our warehouse this afternoon. That means all the product we were desperatly hoping would arrive on time for Origins actually has ... we'll have three new products to debut there:
Recess,
Grand Tribunal, and Epic Dungeoneer. Epic Dungeoneer should be in stores by the very beginning of July.
Only one thing left ... we're still waiting for the special edition promo captain coins for
Pieces of Eight to arrive. Cross your fingers for us!
Recess & Grand Tribunal IN OUR ACTUAL WAREHOUSE!
Hard to believe, I know, but Recess and Grand Tribunal are in our actual warehouse RIGHT NOW! The shipping container was dropped off about an hour and a half ago, and with the help of the guys from
the Source -- thanks Hans, Nick, Jared, and Bob! -- we had it unloaded in about 45 minutes. Boxes were flying, let me tell you!
The two games look great! I always dread opening that first copy of a game, looking for problems or mistakes. If I never open it, then it'll be perfect forever, right? Okay, so my logic is flawed, but I'm happy to report that Recess and Grand Tribunal are not. Both turned out really well, and we're excited to start shipping it out! You should be able to find copies in your local games store as soon as the end of next week.
Po8 Is Popular, Suddenly!
We just heard word that Pieces of Eight is now featured on the
Toy Directory Monthly website. It's becoming a media darling, looks like! :)
Our Train Comes In
This just in -- our shipper writes: "We have your container in Minneapolis as of this afternoon. I am still
waiting for rail terminal to give me pick up number. I should have more delivery details for you tomorrow morning."
It's probably too optimistic to hope the container, with
Recess and
Grand Tribunal, will be delivered to our warehouse tomorrow (customs must be cleared and local trucking arranged), but Wednesday is very possible. Since we sent these games to press almost six months ago, we can't wait to see them delivered!
Po8 Media Coverage
We just learned that
Pieces of Eight has a mention up on the
ICV2 website, and we got word yesterday that Dragon Magazine will be featuring a write-up on the game in the near future. Yay!
Nyambe has Too Many Goats!
We have some exciting news today for fans of
Nyambe: African Adventures.
Atlas Games is pleased to announced the signing of a licensing agreement with
Too Many Goats for the publication of official
Nyambe: African Adventures supplements and adventures.
Fans of Nyambe may already know one of the names behind Too Many Goats: Jim Alcala Salés, who has been managing the
Nyambe.com website for some time now. His colleagues, Pat Collins and Brian Gute, are
no strangers to the game industry either.
Too Many Goats will be focusing on PDF publishing. To see some of the exciting Nyambe products they have in the development pipeline, check out their web page at http://www.toomanygoats.com/products.htm today!
Assorted Updates
I have a couple of updates on a couple of topics.
Mysteries Revised and Infernal: Off to PressI just printed the shipping label for sending the materials for
The Mysteries Revised Edition and
Realms of Power: The Infernal to the printer. I can imagine this news will bring much joy to
Ars Magica fans... :)
An Ocean Container in MontanaOur shipper called a short while ago to tell us that our ocean container finally got out of the port of Tacoma, and is on a freight train right now crossing Montana. Depending on whether any other hold-ups occur, we may see
Recess and
Grand Tribunal in our warehouse on Tuesday of next week (the 20th), but Wednesday is more likely (the same day we're expecing
Epic Dungeoneer).
E-Mail ProblemsOur inbound e-mail has not been working this morning. (Outgoing mail has been fine, since it goes through a different service.) Our service provider is on the problem, and says it should be fixed within an hour or two. I'm hoping it hasn't been bouncing messages, but if it has, please go ahead and re-transmit later this afternoon.
Pieces of Eight Covers
The covers for the two Pieces of Eight releases are now up! Jeff Menges is the artist behind them, and we think he's done a fantastic job depicting the two ships at battle -- you'll notice that it's actually one enormous painting split in half, designed this way specifically for this project. For more information on the game, visit the
Maiden's Vengeance and the
Cursed Blade product pages!
Tide of Years in PDF
We have another PDF online this weekend:
The Tide of Years, a
Penumbra d20 System adventure for levels 4-6, is available for download today on
RPGNow. Can you rescue the Temporal Crystal from a past that was never meant to be?
Pieces of Eight Revealed!
To kick off the release of Pieces of Eight, Atlas Games will be giving away 20,000 copies of a special edition promotional captain coin for Pieces of Eight! This unique gold-colored coin will be available at Origins, GenCon, DragonCon, and other select venues. The promo captain allows you to stretch your coins to include a 5th player if you own 4 ship sets. Just pool the 3 extra coins in each set, then add the promo captain as the missing 13th coin! Be sure to get yours while they last!
Also unveiled for Pieces of Eight ... the complete rules and coin art! See the
Pieces of Eight line page for the rules and the individual product pages for
The Maiden's Vengeance and
The Cursed Blade for art.
Lots o' Web Updates
For your web-browsing enjoyment, I've just posted the following web updates ...
Rome in PDF
Another ancient
Ars Magica book is now available for download, for a modest fee:
Tribunals of Hermes: Rome. You can buy it now from
RPGNow.com.
Updates from the Warehouse
Things are about to get busy in the Atlas warehouse.
Next week we expect our container to arrive from China, carrying
Grand Tribunal and
Recess. Our distributors have been given an order deadline of Monday, June 12th, so depending on if customs gives us any delays, we could start shipping as early as Tuesday.
Next up will be the newest addition to the
Dungeoneer line,
Epic Dungeoneer: Call of the Lich Lord. This should be arriving in our warehouse on Wednesday, June 21, if all continues to stay on schedule.
Looking forward to July, it's looking like it will be a big
Ars Magica month. Yesterday I sent the corrected text materials for the reprint of
Ars Magica 5th Edition itself to our printer. Within the next week both
Realms of Power: The Infernal and the long-awaited
Mysteries Revised Edition should be ready to go to press as well. All three should be back in our warehouse at the same time in late July.
Newly Digitized: Mistridge
We have another electronic offering from ancient
Ars Magica history. Today's new download is
Mistridge, available
now on RPGNow.
Vote Gloom for Origins Award!
Atlas Games is pleased to note that
Gloom is up for the Best Traditional Card Game or Expansion category of the Origins Gamer's Choice Award! Gloom is an innovative card game designed by noted RPG author Keith Baker, printed on transparent cards that allow elements from previously played cards to show through or be obscured by those played on top of them. In Gloom, you assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. The goal of the game is sad, but simple: you want your characters to suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death. Place your vote for Gloom now at
