News from Atlas Games

Reprints Arrive

Two Ars Magica sourcebook reprints have arrived in our warehouse: Realms of Power: The Infernal and Ancient Magic. If your favorite game retailer has been unable to supply these books to you because they were out of stock, now's the time to gently remind them to place a re-order with their favorite distributors, who is again able to resupply their shelves from us.

New Issue of Sub Rosa

The fourth issue of Sub Rosa, the Ars Magica fan magazine published by Alex White, is now
ready for download. Get yours at www.subrosamagazine.org

And don't forget the Sub Rosa Competition. Write an email to Sub Rosa to win an Ars Magica supplement of your choice, courtesy of Atlas Games. More info is on their website.

Plus, Sub Rosa is now taking contributions for Issue 5. Contributions are due by February 2009. Again, check their website for more details.

Hedge Magic Shipping

As you can tell from its new spot at the top of the New Releases column, Hedge Magic is now shipping. It should be to distributors by Wednesday, and in stores next week, most likely.

Battle of the Geeks: Special Edition

So, my as-yet one-sided Battle of the Geeks with John has apparently inspired some of our most loyal Ars Magica fans! The Atlas Forums have become the location of a "who's the geekiest" contest of their own. The current frontrunner is Tim Goldbeck from Germany. And the photo he posted is proof postitive of his uber-gamer geekiness ...

... yes, that's the symbol from the cover of the Ars Magica core book!

Nyambe Errata

New errata for Nyambe: African Adventures has been posted to the Nyambe FAQ. Our thanks to Sean Shore for his contributions to it.

MSU Makes Games 100!

Each year since 1980, GAMES Magazine has published a Buyer's Guide to Games in their year-end holiday issue. Except for once or twice in the early 1980s, the article has listed and reviewed one hundred games each year, and was thus dubbed The GAMES 100.

I'm pleased to announced that our own Mad Scientist University made this year's Games 100 list as Best Party Game Nominee. You can view the full list here (MSU is on page 9). Congratuations to designer Zachary Anderson and artist Steven Sanders!
