------------------------------- ATL@S UPDATE -- 2 November 1998 ------------------------------- 1999 RELEASES We've been hard at work here at Atlas firming up our release schedule for 1999. We're not ready to go on the record with any of these titles, be we thought you'd be interested in seeing what we're thinking about. Ars Magica fans will see four releases in 1999. Although we're not making any guarantees, the following are safe bets: * A Novgorod Tribunal book whose working title is "The Dragon and the Bear," * A book on Norse culture and campaigning, as yet untitled, * "Ordo Nobilis," the working title of a sourcebook on the nobility of Mythic Europe, and * A book on the Stonehenge Tribunal from David Chart, a prolific Ars Magica author whose credits include contributions to the Fourth Edition, Wizard's Grimoire Revised Edition, A Medieval Tapestry, and many others. We'll also be releasing an all new roleplaying game, currently called Furry Pirates, which is about just what you think it is. Anthropomorphic animals, called "furries," take to the high seas in this game set in the furry version of the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. Furry Pirates is currently on deck for early 1998 -- perhaps as early as February. Also, look for Corruption, a stand-alone card game by game designer Bruno Faidutti, the internationally-acclaimed inventor of Steve Jackson Games's Knightmare Chess, among others. In Corruption, players vie to win lucrative construction contracts from underhanded power brokers. If all goes as planned, Corruption will debut in May. ========== CATEGORICAL DENIAL Atlas Games absolutely and categorically denies any and all allegations and rumors that they will release a game on the first of April -- "April Fool's Day" -- the day of the year known for practical jokes and pranks of all sorts. ========== THE MYTHIC SEAS -- UPDATE The Mythic Seas, November's Ars Magica release, has finally been sent to the printer. Production-related difficulties delayed this send-off by about three weeks, and although this means that the book may not actually arrive in stores until early December, the extra time we took has given Ars Magica fans a better product. Make sure you ask your local retailer about The Mythic Seas. Title: The Mythic Seas Product Number: AG0259 ISBN: 1-887801-69-3 Length: 96 pages Suggested Retail Price: $16.95 (US) ========== WWW.ATLAS-GAMES.COM If you haven't heard, Atlas's web page have moved from http://members.aol.com/atlasgames to www.atlas-games.com.
