------------------------------- ATL@S UPDATE -- 2 February 1999 ------------------------------- PRESS RELEASE Atlas Games and Neural Jazz Factory Announces Licensing of Over the Edge for Computer Adaptation For Immediate Release 1 January, 1999 Atlas Games and Neural Jazz Factory are proud to announce the licensing of Over the Edge and On the Edge games for the creation of EdgePlay, a strategy and role-playing game for the computer. While a firm release date is not scheduled for EdgePlay, Neural Jazz Factory is aiming for a late '99 release. EdgePlay is an internet computer game where player-conspiracies seek to dominate the conspiratorial soup of Al Almarja. Players may choose an existing conspiracy or make a new conspiracy to add to the soup. The player commands his conspiracy's characters to perform surveillance, tail, brutalize, research secrets and control other characters through a wide variety of dirty tricks including lying, favors, drugs and the promise for a better tomorrow. Atlas Games is widely known for its innovation in gaming. Among other titles, Atlas publishes Ars Magica, the roleplaying game of medieval magic; Over the Edge, the roleplaying game of surreal danger; Lunch Money, the card game of merciless street fighting; and Once Upon A Time, the fairy tale storytelling card game. Neural Jazz Factory, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a start-up computer game company that combines the talents of software engineer David Lewis and writer-editor Bob Kelly.
