Not a democracy, but very nearly a republic, Dolmaranthuz is a kingdom of feudal states ruled by a king or queen selected by an elected senate from a collection of royal candidates. The realm is divided into feudal states, each of which is lorded over by a knight named by the ruler. The wealthiest states are granted to paladins Ñ the high and holy knights of Dolmaranthuz. The people of each state elect a senator to represent them in the royal court. Power is thus divided between the knights Ñ who control the military Ñ and the senators Ñ who hold legislative power.
