Beer Money

Recess is over. Now you're fighting for something more ...

Beer Money is the long-anticipated 110-card sequel to the frenetic Lunch Money card game. Beer Money is a stand-alone game that can also be mixed in with a Lunch Money or Sticks & Stones deck to accommodate up to 8 players. Like Lunch Money, Beer Money combines evocative images with the raw dynamics of a merciless street fight. But Beer Money ups the ante with weapons like Beer Bottle, basic attacks such as Knuckle Sammitch, defenses like Self Help, and specialty cards including Pound of Flesh and Pile Driver. The pain just keeps on coming when you're playing with Beer Money!

Church Key Rules

(A church key is a bottle-opener, by the way.)

As a special promotion, Atlas Games gave away 2,000 Beer Money church keys at the 2004 summer gaming conventions. The first 700 (approximately) were given out at Origins in Columbus, Ohio, and featured a rose-colored logo. A Beer Money churchkey may be used for the following game effect:

CHURCH KEY: During a game of Beer Money, a player may use his Beer Money church key as if it was a Self Help card, though it doesn't count toward his hand limit. Each player may only play one church key per game; if your friends want a share of the goodness, they'll have to find their own church keys! As your action, you may play as many healing cards as you have in your hand along with the church key. You may also play the church key along with any healing cards you have in your hand immediately upon being sent to 0 or fewer counters. In other words, the church key functions exactly like a Self Help card, except it's made of metal and opens bottles. The Beer Money church key's effects are only applied to its own player.
