## What It is About

The intrigues of the realm’s greater nobility are a subject of fixation, even obsession, for the minor nobles whose fortunes can be elevated — or shattered — by what happens at court.

Players take the roles of these minor nobles. They must use their limited influence to capitalize on the schemes of their betters.

By deducing which nobles will be active in each year at court, then protecting the wagers they’ve placed, the players’ fortunes rise and fall. At the end of three years, a victor is crowned.


## Gameplay Basics

* Players deduce, predict, and wager on which noble cards will be turned up each year, and in which combinations.

* Each player’s crowns stake out bets that their coins must then protect — each board location only has room for one player’s wager.
